About “Onishi-en” and “Fuku-midori”.
“Single Origin Tea Fukumidori” is produced by a master of green tea leaves hand rolling who won the first prize at a national competition eight times. In processing “Fuku-midori”, Onishi-en withers the raw leaves by drying them in the sun for several hours, which brings out floral aroma and strong umami and sweetness.

Sayama Single Origin Tea

While most Japanese teas are made by blending tea leaves bought from all over Japan, in Sayama each farmer is responsible for the entire process from cultivation to production. Our teas are single origin teas which are not blended with other varieties grown on the same farm. This means that you can perfect trace the tea, where it was grown, when it was picked, by whom and how it was produced. Each variety has its own colour, aroma and taste. Please enjoy this diverse and fascinating world of Japanese green tea.
